The Enable Remote Access add-on installs without reboot, activating the SSH daemon, and starting the reverse tunnel. The add-on is session based and will be removed upon a reboot. This will allow the add-on to provide the Technical Support Representative access to the ReadyNAS to diagnose without port forwarding and can be easily removed.
Use the Enable Remote Access add-on only when instructed to do so by a NETGEAR Technical Support Representative.
