You can elect to spin-down your disks after a specified time of inactivity. The disks will spin-up automatically as needed. Note that enabling disk spin-down will disable journal mode in the Performance tab. You will need to manually reset the journal mode if you disable this option. A UPS is recommended if you enable this option.

This device can power itself on and off automatically on a schedule. Note that if you schedule this device to power off, data transfers will be interrupted and pending backup jobs will not run. Also note that some devices will not support scheduled power ON, and you will not see this option in the Action list.
